Out of the six musical period that were discussed in class, the classical period (1730-1820) stood out the most to me because thats when the enlightenment era began. This is where it felt like it was like a new journey for everyone. This is when social political issues began to change. Along with “Individual rights and Empowerment”. During the period, The Melodies were exemplified perfectly with the old tunes that were played in the background. This period had more orchestra, harmony and the rhythm was very on point. Something I really liked about this music was the tune, how clear it sounds. Joseph Haydn who was the composer during the classical period. I picked one of music piece called the “Surprise” and one things I liked about is that how calm it sounds. You can hear the violin in the background and how clear they sound and then hear this loud sound right after that. It scares you a little because it was out of nowhere, which I really liked. I did not expect the sound of this music from the textbook or my own knowledge because when I hear someone say classic song, I usually think about the songs that are classic songs from our generation and these are completely different but they sound very unique and very calm. Which is why I feel like classical Music period excites me more than any of the others.
