For this blog, I would like to choose the song “Lonely”, by Speaker Knockerz. It was officially released on December 10, 2013. Speaker Knockerz was a hip hop artist who died shortly after releasing this music video. From this point you can probably guess how he did, but not exactly. He died from a heart attack which had no involvement with drug or any musical beef. Speaker Knockerz was an upcoming artist who died at the age of 19. I chose this specific music because I really liked listening to him in my middle school years. Every piece of music he ever created was a hit. This piece was the last ever hit he put out.
The melody and the rhythm is what makes this song very popular. There’s a tempo which he succeeds to sing through a rapping tone. He is super on beat and paces throughout the songs. For example, when the beat starts to increase at 2:02 to 2:20, if you listen carefully to both this voice and the beats you can hear that he is also rapping now rather than singing. He does that to match his voice to the beat and slowly after the beats falls down he picks up from where he left off. The form in which the music is produced is unique due to Speaker Knockerz changing his flow to sound calm and to stay within the genre of hip hop. This kind of form gives both a hype and a relaxing vibe.

Hey Showrav! I found it funny that I also enjoyed listening to Speaker Knockerz during my middle school years. His death was tragic and “Lonely”, his last hit, was actually my favorite song by him. I personally think that it’s cool and interesting that you chose this song for this blog. You were able to identify the types of melody, rhythm, and tempo of the song. I liked that you mentioned a specific timing from the song to further prove your point.
