I would be most comfortable at a jazz club. The vibe is very calming and soothing where you can just sit down and have a conversation with anyone. I would expect that the saxophone, drums, and many other instruments bring that calming effect to the club. The environment is very friendly. You are able to get up, eat, drink, and talk when you feel like it. I would expect to hear upbeat songs and also slow songs in a jazz club. As a listener, I would expect to pay attention to how the instruments are being played. I would also expect to like the music being played because the rhythm is very smooth. I would be uncomfortable at a chamber music recital. I have been to one before and it is very nerve racking when your phone goes off and everyone knows it’s you. I would feel uncomfortable because there is no interaction within the people in there because you are suppose to stay quiet and listen. I would expect to hear a string qaurtet since in class we learned that it is the most popular.

Yeah I totally agree with it being uncomfortably quiet. I feel like any sort of movement or sound would bring attention to myself when I’d rather just blend in with the crowd. I also feel like you were spot-on saying the environment of a jazz club would be friendly, therefore more inviting.
