I would be most comfortable at a jazz club because the setting is much more relaxed compared to the other concerts discussed. At the jazz club, people are talking, eating, drinking, and having a fun night. On top of all that, they can listen to great music that will always be new and exciting since it is improvised. I also like that you can get up and walk around at the performance, which is frowned upon in the other concert settings. I would expect to hear instruments such as the guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, and trumpet. I would also expect to hear fun, upbeat songs that make people want to dance. As a listener, I would be expected to enjoy the music by anyway I would like. Mentioned before, the jazz clubs are more relaxed, so listeners do not have to follow certain standards. On television, I have seen jazz performers performing at a bar and the people are just sitting at the bar enjoying the music. I would be least comfortable at the chamber music recital. It is more intimate then the symphony orchestra concert, so if you do need to get up or your phone rings accidentally, everyone will know it is you. I am not very comfortable in a place that has certain standards that look down upon certain behaviors. I would expect to hear either a string quartet (two violins, viola, and cello) or a piano trio (violin, cello, and piano), because those are the most popular. As a listener, I would be expected to remain seated and quiet while I listened to the music. I have never been to a chamber music recital, so I am just reflecting on what was shown in class.

I agree that jazz clubs seem to have a relaxed vibe.
