One of my favorite songs of all time is “Baby” by Justin Bieber. I first heard that song in 5th grade and I absolutely fell in love with it! Something about the melody is just so catchy! I see you singing it now…hahah! Justin Bieber was 14 and I was 11. I was in love. I thought he was singing to me. Justin Bieber came to fame at age 13 after his YouTube videos of him covering Usher songs were seen by Scooter Braun who became his manager. Justin Bieber is a huge figure in the pop music world. He used to be the prototypical pop singer.
Pop music is the genre of music that gets the most attention from Billboard and other lists like that. Its what everyone’s talking about. Its primarily thought to influence the youth the most.
The melody of “Baby” is “Baby, Baby baby oh. Like baby, baby baby oh” “. The rhythm of the song is upbeat. “Baby” is a crescendo song. It goes from low to high. The form of “Baby” is verse chorus.

I found your blog interesting to read. When “Baby” first came out, I was also fascinated and kept on hymning to it because it was so catchy. However, I found it interesting to read over that the song goes from low to high. By listening to it again now, I actually realized this pitch occurring, and it amazed me. It was interesting to read over the pitches of the actual song, that used to be so popular while we were growing up.
I agree with your blog post and especially the song you chose. This song “baby” reminds me of how it made my day while growing up. I remember when I used to listen and sing this song the whole day not knowing its musical elements like rhythm, dynamics.. and now when I listen to this song after reading your blog and I came to know its elements, this song amazed me even more.
Wow, this song is a straight-up banger. I totally agree that the chorus is beyond catchy that even the 12 year old me couldn’t resist listening to. Great song to choose. I’m actually going to go listen to it right now.
