The movie Get Out released in 2017 is mainly about a black man who is brain washed by his own girlfriend and her family. He is portrayed as one of the important victims throughout the movie. Chris and his girlfriend Rose plan to visit Rose’s family. He is worried of the way Rose’s parents might act and think about him due to the fact that he is black. As they arrive to upstate where Rose’s parents live, he is amazed that her parents were acting friendly with him. It all goes well until he starts noticing suspicious acts within the family. He notices that Rose’s mom is hypnotizing him by bringing memories from the past. He talks to Rose and his friend Rod about it. Rod warns him that white people use blacks to remove their brain for transplants and that he should immediately leave from the area. Chris discovers that he isn’t the only black man that Rose has “dated”. He goes through many violent obstacles throughout the ending of the movie in which he tries to escape. Rod comes at the end where Chris tried killing Rose, but, he ends up not doing it and leaves Rose to die as Rode leaves with Chris from the scene.
Some examples of diegetic sounds in the opening scene “the knight” are the sound of the crickets and peaceful night which Andre finds it creepy. Other examples are a dog barking, the noise of the white car approaching, and the music that is being played in the car. Another example is when he is having a conversation with someone on the phone saying that the neighborhood looks “creepy” and feels like “a sore thumb”.
Examples of nondiegetic sounds is how the music in the car suddenly increases when the guy attacks Andre which makes it be the background sound of the ending scene. The exaggerated sound of the door being slammed can be another example. Lastly, it then ends with a violin playing harsh notes.

I realized that as well that the music got louder as the kidnapping happened, it did play as the ending to the scene. As well as the door slam to signify the end of it, which I took note later on after watching the clip.
