Out of all of the concerts and shows shown in class, I’d definitely feel most comfortable at an open venue similar to the Khalid concert shown in class. I’ve only been to two concerts in my life and both of them were at much smaller venues then that of a concert hall. The first was for Greta van Fleet and the second was for Playboi Carti. During the Greta van Fleet concert it was in a stadium so I was up in the stands but it was still an awesome experience. As an audience member, I found myself singing along and nodding my head to familiar songs (I don’t listen to Greta van Fleet often) and talking with my family who I had went with. As for the Carti concert, it was in a warehouse and it was mostly just a big crowd in front of the stage. But the audience was much more different than the Greta van Fleet show, there were moshpits and the environment was a lot more aggressive. People in the audience would thumb down the DJ or flip him off if he played songs that they didn’t like.

As for the performers, Carti was letting the crowd do a lot of the singing. He’d be mid verse then let his fans finish it. All the while he was hyping everything up on stage by jumping around and ad-libbing. In the Greta van Fleet setting however, the interaction with the audience is different in that there’s no ad-libbing really, there is jumping around but it’s mostly just singing along.
